Summary of Changes

Hello @vvaswani, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request addresses an issue where the tool_context was not consistently passed to a confirmation callable within the mcp_tool. The fix ensures that the tool_context is properly aligned and provided to the callable when its signature indicates it expects this argument, thereby resolving potential functional discrepancies and improving the robustness of the tool's execution flow.

Highlights

  • Tool Context Alignment: The _require_confirmation callable now correctly receives the tool_context argument when its signature indicates it expects it. This is achieved by dynamically inspecting the callable's signature before invocation.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Code Review

This pull request updates how the tool_context is passed to the _require_confirmation callable. The change correctly inspects the callable's signature to conditionally pass the tool_context. I've provided one suggestion to make this logic more efficient by avoiding an unnecessary dictionary copy and to ensure consistent behavior, especially in the exception handling path.
