Ploneconf.org

Ploneconf.org is currently hosted by Devaus. The intention is to archive the old site by adding url rewrites so that each year is 20xx.ploneconf.org and the current years site is ploneconf.org. We didn't get that far this year but are happy to help with this archiving this for the future. There are other tasks that need to be done including but not limited to:

• transfer DNS resolvers to the foundation
• transfer the domain name ownership to the foundation
• party like its 1999

There are several packages that were created as plugins at https://github.com/Plone-Conference-Devs. Some packages of note:

• ploneconf.content: Base information architecture for a plone conference site. Tons of dummy content holders for doing design and setting up folders. There is lots of content and press releases in the google docs folder as well but this is enough to get your dev site going.
• collective.sponsorship: A way to manage sponsors (see the log in drop down to add and manage). Uses a viewlet and publishes any sponsor logos on the front page where donation is > $500.
• ploneconfbuildout: the buildout for the ploneconf site. This probably needs some love honestly and a lot changed since the initial deploy. Again, see eleddy for issues on this one.
