我之前一直有個印象,是他是做偏聽不懂的那種實驗電音( Anticline 時期,其實我現在再回去聽也是覺得偏怪,不過現在覺得偏怪是喜歡的意思。)這次的專輯就是算是悅耳的 art pop,當然還是能聽見許多破碎的聲響被作為音色使用,但比起強調裂解與重構的舊作,在這邊被更加強調的是歌曲本身的戲劇性與張力。混音跟製作是由 David Sylvian 做的,他也有彈彈吉他,並且在第一首歌 "cosa rara" 獻聲,不過他的聲音聽起來反而有點像印象中某首 The Mars Volta 的歌裡面老年男聲。還是其實也是他?
我猜一般來說這張專輯的亮點時刻應該是在前半段,但老實說我更喜歡最後的幾首歌:較為緩慢的節奏與相較之下不那麼緊湊的進行,反而使得層次更加明顯。尤其是 "stelliformia",這應該是這張專輯裡面吉他最明顯的歌了,而歌的最後變成一團充滿毛邊與回聲的噪音,也是我很愛的那種。
