Note to reviewers: I haven't touched all the content in the "Redis Open Source and Redis Software" and "Redis Cloud" areas, as there may still be references to "Search and query" or "Redis Query Engine" that need to remain until product changes have been made. I've also left references in RedisVL as is, as those changes need to be made to the docs in the repo, which I will take care of.
I'm sure I've missed some references here and there, so if you find something, please flag it and I will make the chanages.
Note
Low Risk
Low risk documentation-only terminology updates with no product logic changes; main risk is broken links or inconsistent naming where some legacy references must remain.
Overview
Updates docs terminology to consistently refer to Redis Search instead of Redis Query Engine (RQE) across command reference pages, the
develop/ai/search-and-querysection, client examples, release notes, and glossary entries. Also refreshes related headings/front matter (
title, linkTitle, description) and a few inline references (for example, expiration behavior, profiling, and query performance factor docs) to match the new naming and keep navigation/cross-references aligned.Written by Cursor Bugbot for commit 7f3ecc0.
