# Vercel Web Analytics Implementation Report
## Summary
Successfully installed and configured Vercel Web Analytics for the prosdevlab Next.js project using the App Router pattern.
## Changes Made
### 1. Installed Package
- Added `@vercel/analytics` (v1.6.1) to project dependencies using pnpm
- Updated `package.json` and `pnpm-lock.yaml` to reflect the new dependency
### 2. Modified Files
#### app/layout.tsx
- Imported `Analytics` component from `@vercel/analytics/next`
- Added `<Analytics />` component inside the `<body>` tag, after the `ThemeProvider` wrapper
- Maintained existing code structure and styling
- Fixed import ordering to comply with biome linter requirements
## Implementation Details
The project uses the App Router pattern with the root layout at `app/layout.tsx`. The Analytics component was integrated in the following way:
1. **Import Statement**: Added `import { Analytics } from "@vercel/analytics/next"` at the top of the file, ordered correctly with other imports
2. **Component Placement**: Placed the `<Analytics />` component after the `</ThemeProvider>` closing tag but within the `<body>` element, ensuring it tracks all page interactions
## Verification
✅ **Build**: Successfully compiled with `pnpm build`
- Velite preprocessing completed
- Next.js build completed without errors
- All 9 static pages generated successfully
✅ **Linting**: Passed `pnpm lint` validation
- No linting errors or warnings
- Import ordering fixed to comply with Biome configuration
✅ **Dependencies**: All lock files updated
- pnpm-lock.yaml updated with new dependency resolution
- No breaking changes to existing dependencies
## Notes
- The Analytics component is now automatically loaded on every page view
- It collects anonymous user interaction data and sends it to Vercel Analytics
- The component is placed outside the theme provider but within the body to ensure proper functionality
- No additional configuration is needed; the component works out of the box with Vercel deployments
