A bit of a cleanup operation for the project, moving the package metadata into pyproject.toml files and starting to use
uvto manage it. Similarly, readme files are converted from reStructuredText to markdown.Getting the new config to work nicely with Python 3.6 and 3.7 isn't really worth the effort, so those are dropped here. A follow-up PR will clean up the code some more, and probably also drop Python 3.8 support.
