Here's a new sample app that shows how to create sound samples dynamically. It's very small, and should serve as a good example for someone trying to learn the API.
Flash is the only platform on which the GeneratingDynamicSound example currently works on the master (3.0.0-alpha) branch, but it should work once dynamic audio is implemented.
