There was a problem hiding this comment.
The lack of space here was on purpose: the first number is a value, while the second number in square brackets is a length. So [30000]used is indicating that the used array has 30000 entries, like declaring var mylist [30000]int.
But this is clearly very unclear, so we should figure out some other better rephrasing.
