Flagging in this PR, why are we using super-linter/super-linter? Seems like expanded surface area for very little gain, can't we just run all the linters manually like we do on every other repo?

Flagging in this PR, why are we using super-linter/super-linter?

This repo was originally created using the template at https://github.com/actions/typescript-action, which uses super-linter/super-linter. So we inherited it from that.

It can definitely be a bit annoying, especially in cases like this, but I'm on the fence because there is some legitimately useful stuff which comes out of it. For example, they added zizmor in this bump, which is pointing out some useful stuff for cleaning up the GHA workflows here, including catching the out-of-date version comment you flagged in the other PR.

I'll take a stab at cleaning this PR up so it goes green.
