Compilation of projects from computational modeling for PHYS2102: Electromagnetic Phenomena (August-December 2025). Descriptions of each lab are as follows:
- Introduction to basic while loops.
- Used while loops to create spheres and arrows of set distances and radii.
- Modeled a cart moving horizontally while launching a ball upwards and calculated time for ball to land back in cart.
- Modeled vertical oscillation of mass on spring and calculated period of oscillation.
- Modeled and calculated speed necessary for given spacecraft to maintain circular orbit around Earth.
- Adapted code from lab 5 to model motion of craft dropped straight through center of Earth.
- Adapted code from lab 6 to determine momentum of craft at center of Earth and potential energies at surface and center of Earth.
- Modeled spacecraft crashing into moon given initial distance and velocity & calculated final speeds with energy principle.
- Modeled ball bouncing in air and calculated time to reach maximum height with/without air resistance and estimated error of approximation.
- Modeled nitrogen molecule given initial vibrational energy and calculated period of oscillation from resulting motion.
