We use full and abbreviated (three-letter) month names because there is a usage in the UI where it is important to be compact. The problem is that the month name "May" is the same for both the full and abbreviated versions. But this is not the case for the name of this month in many other languages. As a result, we lose the ability to have both the abbreviated and full names of this month in translations. To fix this, we need to add context to one of the "May" strings in the source code.
Further shortening of month names in the Ukrainian translation has also been piggybacked in this PR to reduce the width of the panel.
