Situation
GitHub Actions decommissioned the legacy backend cache service in Q1/2025 (April 15, 2025) so that a minimum version @actions/cache@4.0.0 is required to continue using GitHub Actions cache functionality.
This requirement is met by cypress-io/github-action@v6.7.9, released Jan 16, 2025, and above.
This is not mentioned in the README > Compatibility section.
