I have identified a few minor formatting issues that make parsing XML files difficult. However, resolving these issues is straightforward and results in cleaner parsing code. Some of the modifications were taken from previous unmerged PRs. The source of these modifications is marked in the respective commit.
WARNING: Several violations of the DTD remain unfixed.
