What is the purpose of the change
AVRO-4197 Fixes incorrect handling of
bytesin the context of schema production introduced in #2529 (AVRO-3876).We're investigating reverting the changes from the PR above. This might be a preferable solution to #3543
Verifying this change
As a revert, this change is already covered by existing tests.
