This PR reduces the CI matrix to three representative Python/Matplotlib combinations instead of full cartesian expansion. The workflow now computes and runs: (1) lowest Python + lowest Matplotlib, (2) midpoint Python + midpoint Matplotlib, and (3) latest Python + latest Matplotlib. This avoids invalid pairings such as Python 3.14 with Matplotlib 3.9 while preserving coverage across lower, middle, and upper compatibility bounds.
