Hello @SachinNarayanasamy
Thank you for your efforts in submitting the PR.

This cannot be merged as we have multiple regex validations in the code repo and this use case is already available from some of the ServiceNow community threads.

Also, you can directly set the validation regex to Number under type specifications to allow only numbers without need of code.

Please resubmit after making dynamic use cases/contexts that are suitable for Hactoberfest!
