Bumps coverage from 7.13.4 to 7.13.5.

Version 7.13.5 — 2026-03-17

  • Fix: issue 2138_ describes a memory leak that happened when repeatedly using the Coverage API with in-memory data. This is now fixed.

  • Fix: the markdown-formatted coverage report didn't fully escape special characters in file paths (issue 2141). This would be very unlikely to cause a problem, but now it's done properly, thanks to Ellie Ayla <pull 2142_>.

  • Fix: the C extension wouldn't build on VS2019, but now it does (issue 2145_).

🤖 Claude Code Review

PR Code Review

Summary: This PR bumps the coverage dependency from 7.13.4 to 7.13.5 for Python > 3.11 in two places within pyproject.toml.

Code Quality

  • Style guide: No code style concerns — this is a dependency version bump only.
  • No commented-out code: None present.
  • Meaningful variable names: N/A.
  • DRY principle: The version is updated consistently in both development and test dependency groups (lines 38 and 87).
  • Defects: No logic errors or bugs. The version constraint python_version > '3.11' is consistent and correct in both locations.
  • CLAUDE.md: No concerns — project config is appropriate for general developer use.

Testing

  • Unit/integration tests: No new functions introduced; no tests required.
  • Coverage: This change updates the coverage tool itself; no test coverage impact expected.

Documentation

  • README: No update needed for a dependency bump.
  • API docs: N/A.
  • Inline comments: N/A.
  • CHANGELOG.md: Dependency bumps via automated tooling (Dependabot) typically do not require changelog entries; acceptable here.
  • Markdown formatting: N/A — no markdown files changed.

Security

  • No hardcoded credentials: None.
  • Input validation: N/A.
  • Error handling: N/A.
  • No sensitive data in logs: N/A.
  • No license files (.lic) or AQAAAD strings: None present.

Verdict: Approved. This is a clean, minimal patch-level dependency update with no issues. The change is applied consistently in both development and test groups.
