Description
We will be creating a tutorial on how to automate SSL/TLS certificates for your web applications to use the more secure HTTPS protocol. A subject we strugled with during a previous networking course.
The aim of the tutorial is to demonstrate and simplify the setup of this very troublesome but extremely important part of web applications by showing a way to automate it.
Relevance
We believe this is relevant to devops and "infrastructure as code".
By automating the certificate infrastructure you make it scalable, reproducible and reliable.
This moves the web aplication infrastructure away from manual configurations and is a great example of IaC.
We will attempt to create the tutorial on KillerCoda.
