I will add a patch to solve the failing tests on Julia pre, could you also wait for #399 to be merged ?
If this is urgent, you can release 2.12.1 without #399 and I will release 2.12.2 after.

To the best of my knowledge, you need to merge the PR with the updated version number before the call to the Julia registrator.
