Since you said it looks better smaller, I'm gonna guess number one is 16x9 and no. 2 is the 2560x1440 one, right? |

Resized bg image from 2560x1440 to 16x9 pixels, and because its blurred there is no difference even with opacity 0, and its in even higher quality because its gpu interpolated.
