1. Create a <language>.json file in factorion-lib/src
2. Read Locales.md
3. Add language-specific function get_<language> in locale.rs and add it to get_all()
4. Alternatively to 3. you can also just add the content of your <language>.json translation over here in the ticket or message me on reddit via @tolik518

The languages are ordered by speakers world wide:

• zh - Chinese (Mandarin)
• es - Spanish
• en - English
• ar - Arabic (Modern Standard Arabic)
• hi - Hindi
• pt - Portugese
• bn - Bengali
• ru -Russian
• ja - Japanese
• Yue Chinese (Cantonese) - Not supported by ISO-639-1, used by reddit
• Wu Chinese (Shanghainese) - Not supported by ISO-639-1
• tr - Turkish
• it - Italian
• fr - French
• de - German
• Other...

We should probably inform people, that they can contribute translations.

A few ways we could do that:

• A post announcing localization and asking for translations.
• Listing ways to contribute in u/factorion-bot's bio.
• Maybe a note when we have to fall back to English, asking for contribution.

If we did the note, it could look like this:

I love the note idea! That's actually quite clever

Bio would also be nice if it was possible to format text in the bio, but this seems not to be supported by reddit. Not even line breaks work.

Maybe add a text like "Feel free to contribute code, math, ideas and translations.". Should just barely fit in the 200 char limit.

Is also good, but sounds very general. This could be something that gets added randomly to comments? (like 1/10 chance or something like that?)

You'll have to just follow the steps that are listed at the top of the thread and create pull request to the main repo. If you're not too technical, you can also just copy the content from the https://github.com/tolik518/factorion-bot/blob/master/factorion-lib%2Fsrc%2Fen.json
File into a text editor and translate the English strings to Italian. Once you're ready you can simply to post the translation here and I will implement it into the bot
