Git-Lfs no longer included in image?

I noticed Git-Lfs is no longer added to the image but it used to be?  I can fork and add for my own needs.. but is there a reason it wouldn't be included? The out-of-box GitHub Actions for checkout expect it to be on the runner. So I had figured it should be there no?
