May be a bug with render-markdown.nvim, not 100% sure. MeanderingProgrammer/render-markdown.nvim#597

I also believe this is a Markdown rendering issue. I wouldn’t recommend rendering Markdown in the input, as it interferes with certain characters used for context, such as #.
