Cannot open data.d-modem

I've just pulled down the source and compiled it on Ubuntu 20.04 and when I run it I get the following;

cannot open '/var/lib/slmodem/data.d-modem': No such file or directory

I don't appear to be able to make any SIP calls so wonder if that's why?

I got caught out by this too; I don't think that's the case - it looks like that file is just used to store DSP training data, and it runs just fine if it isn't present.

Check out issue #2 and pull request #1 - that was the root problem in my case.
