Summary table in Object Calling API section has argument names available for translation ('name', 'format', etc.). Because these are common words they might be translated when reusing translations from another translation file or translated manually.

E.g. see Brazilian Portuguese translation, where format and name are translated as formato and nome:

Should these arguments be surrounded by asterisk character * like other reference to arguments?

These aren't supposed to describe argument names -- they're physical descriptions of what each API takes as an argument, so I think it's probably fine to keep them for translation.
