LAMMPS Compilation Failing

I've tried to use PLUMED with LAMMPS through a few methods on my OpenSuse computer, and even though it compiles, PLUMED bindings are never available for fix plumed.

What have been tried:

1. Downloaded source LAMMPS from https://www.lammps.org/download.html and compiled it as referenced in https://docs.lammps.org/Build_extras.html#plumed.
2. Repeated above after installing PLUMED from home_aeszter repo as in https://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=home%3Aaeszter&package=plumed instead of downloading thorugh the flag.
3. Tried downloading pre-compiled as stated in https://github.com/plumed/conda#install-lammps, from https://www.plumed.org/doc-v2.9/user-doc/html/lugano-6a.html.
4. In the github page above, the LAMMPS version mentioned is that from June, 2019. After last attempt failed, I downgraded my LAMMPS downloaded from conda-forge repo to version 2019.06.05. Though all of them, the error is generated when I try to run LAMMPS+PLUMED tutorial from https://www.plumed.org/doc-v2.9/user-doc/html/lugano-6a.html:

ERROR: Unrecognized fix style 'plumed' is part of the PLUMED package which is not enabled in this LAMMPS binary. (src/modify.cpp:924)
Last command: fix 1 all plumed plumedfile plumed.dat outfile p.log

Any help would be appreciated.
