Crashes when chatting

I set the prefix to "bob" in the config, but everytime I do a command like:
bob, say gsgfdg
I get this error:
Disconnected: "Illegal characters in chat"

I have no idea why ._.

Are you playing on a Bukkit server that has weird characters in the username prefixes? Also you need to put bob, in the configuration file.

Well, it has a colorful prefix, but no unuseal characters I think. However I think it has to be this, since it didn't happen on my test server. Is there any way to fix this?

What version of PhaseBot are you using and what version is the server?

I'm using PhaseBot 1.0.2 and the server is running Spigot 1.8.8

Maybe it has to do with 1.8.8, as I've never tried it with that. Try using 1.8.

I can't change the server software, since it's not my server ._. But my test server runs 1.8.4
