Regarding contribution to repo from someone outside Redhat

Hi! I'm interested in web components and came across this repo. I noticed the team is actively working on the v6 migration, and I'd love to help contribute. My only concern: since most contributors appear to be from Red Hat, are external contributions welcome and likely to be accepted?
Happy to start with smaller tasks or wherever help is needed most. Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out! At the moment, our main bottleneck isn't code, it's review. Once we've finished migrating the elements to v6, though, we could use some help on the docs site. can't commit to a firm timeline for when we'll be ready for that kind of help, though
