Description

Summary

Front-page text on page 1 shows kerning/character-spacing differences compared to reference output.

Scope

  • Document: panoramic-data-document-2026.dotx
  • Reference: panoramic-data-document-2026.pdf
  • Area: page 1 logo text and heading/table text

Observed Behavior

  • Glyph spacing appears tighter/looser than the reference in several strings.
  • Diff shows alternating red/cyan around letterforms consistent with spacing mismatch.

Expected Behavior

  • Character spacing/kerning should closely match Word reference metrics.

Reproduction

  1. Run demo comparison using panoramic-data-document-2026.dotx and panoramic-data-document-2026.pdf
  2. Zoom into page 1 logo/title/table text in diff pane

Acceptance Criteria

  • Reduced per-glyph red/cyan fringe on page 1 text.
  • Measurable improvement in text overlay consistency.

Notes

  • Distinct from block alignment/spacing issues; this tracks font metric fidelity.
