When logged into the Wayland session (currently selected via the display manager), attempting to launch any Progressive Web App (PWA) created using the Google Chrome browser results in a critical display failure.
The primary display immediately goes black.
The system becomes entirely unresponsive (stuck/frozen).
The only resolution is to force a logout and switch the session back to the default/Xorg session.
This issue makes using PWAs on the Linux Mint Wayland session impossible. Regular applications and the Chrome browser itself (when not running a PWA) appear to work correctly in the Wayland session until a PWA is launched.
Steps to Reproduce:
Log in to a Linux Mint system and select the Wayland session at the login screen.
Launch any existing PWA that was created using the Google Chrome browser (e.g., Gemini PWA, or any other web service saved as a shortcut/PWA).
System:
Linux mint 22.2
desktop: cinnamon
chrome: latest 140
