compose fails with "The zip extension and unzip/7z commands are both missing, skipping."

I am fairly new to PHP, so forgive me if I'm barking at a wrong tree, but I believe you're missing a ZIP extension which prevents compose from installing other extensions.

AFIK the solution is to install libzip-dev package and a php zip extension, but please feel to correct me if I am wrong.
