nemo: missing LAN mounts in sidebar

I have two shares on a NAS device. My notebook connects to my LAN via wireless. These shares are mounted by a systemd script after NetworkManager-wait-online.service is valid so are only mounted when on my home LAN.

The manner in which Nemo displays this should be the same on 22.3 as on 22.2 and older versions. It is not the same. The Nemo sidebar is set to view 'Places' in both 22.2 and 22.3.
These shares appear under the 'Devices' label in 22.2, They do not appear at all in 22.3.
If I select the 'Tree' view the shares are correctly displayed in the sidebar.
I open either share from the desktop icon, the content is displayed correctly, but the mounted device still does not appear in the Nemo sidebar.

On my (wired LAN, 22.2) desktop with the shares mounted in fstab, these shares appear under the 'Network' label, so having them appear under 'Devices' on a wireless LAN is a minor anomaly, presumably due to the manner and timing of the mount.
I have tried to review nemo-places-sidebar.c, to no avail, not really my skillset...

Added data from error logs as per troubleshooting instructions, no evidence clear to me of any errors relevant to lack of pertinent entries in nemo sidebar.

The issue is present in 6.6.2, and the expected behavior was in 6.4.5, reading the changelog, I wonder if it could be a regression introduced in Switch to xapp-symbolic-icons (XSI)

Can you test the 'Removable drives' applet in Cinnamon, and compare what's visible there in each edition? Similar changes were made there:

Icons for both of the mounted shares are visible on the desktop in the original images above, further, saving a file in xed also shows the shares.

Neither are visible in the 22.3 'Removable drives' applet. Without a USB drive plugged in the applet is not displayed.

Could it just be a missing icon file? where does xed get it's icons? The icon in xed is the same icon as used in 22.2, is the XSI icon for network mounted shares different?
The 22.2 'Removable drives' applet shows both shares.

If it was just a missing icon, the item should still be visible in the sidebar, only with some fallback icon probably. If it's missing entirely (and from the drives applet in Cinnamon) I suspect something more.

Does adding x-gvfs-show to the mount options in nasmount.sh make any difference?

Sadly no change... x-gvfs-show added to options, no change. Without any 'Removable drives' connected, no icon visible in system tray.

/run/mount/utab shows

auth.log shows mount options as
cred=/etc/cifs-cred,dev,noexec,rw,iocharset=utf8,vers=1.0,x-gvfs-show
(a side issue, using CIFS v1.0 as that makes me owner of share, v2.0 has owner=ROOT, I'll fix that one day!)
Is there any method of obtaining a log file of Nemo startup?
Just in case you had not already gathered, I have both 22.2 and 22.3 in different partitions, both mounting the same /home partition, and clearly using identical nasmount procedures.
Just for reference, Nemo sidebar tree view shows both shares.

OK, to test out a possibility, I added a temporary line to fstab, copied from my desktop, enabled wired LAN, disabled wireless, and connected an ethernet cable. The result.

So, on a wired LAN the share appears as a network device. I then modified nasmount.sh to adopt the options used in my desktop fstab, and rebooted (again!). No change to original issue.

However, a potential clue. When mounted in fstab the share is in the Network section of the sidebar. When mounted via nasmount it used to be in Devices, now it is nowhere...
The reason I don't leave the mount in fstab is mobility, I do not want the share mounted when away from home.
An interesting observation, possibly irrelevant, is the difference on 22.2 between a 'normal' view of the Nemo sidebar and the view with elevated privileges.

Will these fixes need testing in a user environment? I am more than willing.
Will, or should, use of the cifs option "_netdev" ensure that the share appears as a network entry in the sidebar?
