Process and collaboration tools for making newsletter

We have started newsletter, but i am struggling and forgetting to poll other project members about their updates, so newsletter appearing incomplete. We need to build semi-automated process with collaboration tools for newsletter, with minimal efforts (google docs + some reminders?)
