Beyond Issues (current) and Pull Requests (roadmap Phase 1), there are roughly 10 additional broad vectors:

1. Git History & Commits

• git log, git blame, git diff — the agent can reason about who changed what, when, and why
• Commit messages as structured metadata (token usage, model, skill)
• Branch-per-investigation workflows
• The repo is the agent's memory — forking forks its mind

2. Discussions

• GitHub Discussions are threaded, categorized, and support polls/answers
• Ideal for longer-form Q&A, RFCs, design proposals, community support
• Different from Issues: they have categories, accepted answers, and voting

3. GitHub Actions (as both runtime AND data)

• Currently used as the engine, but workflow runs themselves are intelligence — logs, timing, success/failure patterns, artifact outputs
• The agent could analyze its own run history, optimize costs, detect flaky behavior
• workflow_dispatch and repository_dispatch as explicit command channels

4. Checks & Status API

• Post structured pass/fail results with inline annotations on commits
• The agent becomes a CI participant, not just a chat bot
• Can gate merges, report code quality, lint results, test outcomes

5. Labels, Milestones & Projects

• Labels as a taxonomy/routing system (triage, categorize, prioritize)
• Milestones as goal tracking
• GitHub Projects (v2) as a kanban/planning surface the agent can read and update
• The agent becomes a project manager, not just a code assistant

6. Releases & Tags

• Auto-generate changelogs from commit history
• Draft releases, manage semver, attach build artifacts
• Release-driven workflows (the agent ships software)

7. Security Surface (Dependabot, Code Scanning, Secret Scanning)

• React to Dependabot alerts — auto-triage, auto-fix, or explain vulnerabilities
• Consume CodeQL/code scanning results and suggest remediations
• Secret scanning alerts as triggers for incident response

8. GitHub Pages & Wikis

• Pages as a deployment target — the agent can build and publish websites
• Wikis as a knowledge base the agent maintains
• The agent becomes its own documentation writer and web developer

9. Packages & Container Registry

• Publish npm packages, Docker images, etc. from the repo
• The agent can build, version, and release software artifacts
• Consume dependency graphs for impact analysis

10. Webhooks, Repository Dispatch & External Signals

• repository_dispatch as a generic command API — anything can trigger the agent
• Webhooks as outbound signals — the agent can notify external systems
• OIDC federated credentials to reach cloud services without stored secrets

11. Social Graph (Forks, Stars, Contributors)

• Awareness of who's contributing, who's forking, community growth
• Fork-aware intelligence — understanding downstream copies
• Contributor CLA/onboarding automation

12. Notifications & Mentions

• @mentions as a command interface across any GitHub surface
• The agent can be "summoned" into any conversation
• Notification subscriptions as awareness of what's happening repo-wide
