Tests for stylistic configuration

In the rush to get v0.4.0-rc1 ready to release, we added a few configuration options without adequate (automated) testing.

In particular, each of the following options could use better automated testing

1. begin_style
2. use_tabs
3. tab_width
4. continuation_indents
5. line_ending
