is it possible to replace wasmtime with a custom-modified wasmer instead?

Wasmtime is a good fit for us, because of its mix of good performance, security, and support for standards, including the Component Model. I don't think we would be interested in replacing it in this project, although you could certainly write your own hyperlight guest that used something else. What problems are you facing with wasmtime/what are your motivations for this?
