Gesture recording ("Record gesture (R) — move pointer to capture motion") is one of the headline keyframe features, but its only affordance is a row at the very bottom of the Design panel (under Animation → Add effect) — typically below the fold at 1080p, so it's effectively undiscoverable. The R shortcut also appears to require focus in the right context; pressing it with a canvas selection did nothing.
Suggestions:
- an on-canvas affordance on the selection overlay (e.g. the record pin) that actually arms gesture mode,
- make the R shortcut work whenever an element is selected, regardless of focus,
- and/or hoist the row above the property list while the keyframes flag is on, since it's the marquee interaction.
