This issue tracks the outreach activities carried out with the Data Science Community of Practice. To identify the potential current & future opportunities, gaps, pain points in the current AtD website & catalog.

• Connect with Data Science community of practice & schedule the UXR's presence at upcoming meeting

Notes

• Reached out to Data Scince Community of Practice Co-Leads to join them at this week's CoP meeting (Monday Nov 27, 7PM PT). But they have wrapped up their CoP meetings for this year, starting last week. Will be active again only staring in January 2024.
• The Co-Leads were open to talking further.
• We could send the Co-Leads a simple open-ended survey (3-5 questions max) to collect their initial feedback. And the V1 could expand into further outreach by workshopping with the entire CoP once the CoP is active again in 2024.
• Or, we could meet with Co-Leads with the open-ended questions and have a focus group/interview scenario.
• Need to discuss with AtD team on best course of action moving forward. Also to keep in mind that next steps followed must be kept simple yet have maximum impact, to overlap with AtD's timeline for December.
• Discuss with team on the most important/necessary questions to ask the Data Science CoP Co-Leads (priority questions)

Questions:

• What type of data sets/data catalog would you like to see? What data sets would be most useful to you as a community currently?
• What are the major activities of the CoP currently? Is there any practice/workshopping you do during the community meetings?

• Discussed next steps with team during the weekly team meeting. It was decided to conduct these outreach workshops with the Data Science Community of Practice, once the MVP is ready. The Data Science CoP meetings will also be active in the new year.
• Communicated the same to the Data Science CoP Co-Leads.
• Move this issue to the V1 Project Board. This issue to be completed post launch of the test site
• Updated Research Wiki under next steps.
