Commands that trigger the issue

Not an issue with command.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Add Microsoft Pinyin (Microsoft Simplified Chinese IME) keyboard. In keyboard options, turn on compatibility option(Microsoft Pinyin settings>General>Use previous version of Microsoft Pinyin)
2. Set Microsoft Pinyin as your default keyboard and set Chinese to be its default mode.
3. Enable "Let me use a different input method for each app window"
4. Launch git bash for Windows. Now the IME will automatically switch to Microsoft Pinyin, which is in Chinese mode.
5. Hit Ctrl + Space to switch from Chinese mode to English mode.
6. Type English letters(e.g. "git").
7. The terminal does not display user input. It cannot be shut down through the "X" button at the top right of the windows, nor through Task Manager.

Expected behaviour

When receiving user input, the Git Bash terminal (MinTTY) become unresponsive.

Actual behaviour

When receiving user input, the Git Bash terminal (MinTTY) prints what the user typed onto the screen.
