Cannot add a widget to a dashboard

Environment

SaaS (https://sentry.io/)

Steps to Reproduce

1. I go to the general dashboard.

2. Click add a custom widget and configure it like this:

   

3. The widgets seems to be added but in the bottom right corner the following error appears:

   The transactions dataset is being deprecated. Please use the spans dataset with the is_transaction:true filter instead.

   Additionally the a "Saving changes..." spinner on the top right remains spinning nonstop after that.

4. If I leave the dashboard page and come back the widget is no longer there.

Expected Result

I expect the custom widget that has been added to become saved and remain in the dashboard.

Actual Result

The widget will be gone the next time I go to the dashboard as some error prevented it from being saved.
