Using YouTube-Floater

Start watching YouTube videos in a floating window immediately.

Basic Usage

1. Copy any YouTube video URL from your browser 2. Paste it into the YouTube-Floater URL input field 3. The video will instantly load and start playing in the floating window Use the control panel to customize your viewing experience: - **Opacity Slider**: Adjust window transparency to see content underneath - **Volume Slider**: Control video volume independently from system audio - **Toggle Controls**: Hide/show the control panel to minimize distractions - **Drag**: Click and drag anywhere on the window to reposition - **Resize**: Drag the window edges to adjust size - **Corner Snap**: Drag near screen corners to auto-snap the window Click the "Open in Browser" button to launch the current video in your default web browser.

System Requirements

**Requirements**: - macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) or later - Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) or Intel processor - Internet connection for video streaming

Tips & Best Practices

Drag the window to any corner for quick snapping - perfect for keeping videos accessible while working. Use higher transparency when you need to see content underneath, or lower transparency for focused viewing. Standard YouTube shortcuts work - spacebar to pause/play, arrow keys to skip, etc. Adjust volume independently - watch tutorials quietly while listening to music elsewhere.

Known Limitations

YouTube implements CORS restrictions that may cause playback interruptions after several plays. If this occurs, simply refresh the video by re-pasting the URL.
