Japanese device names are displayed as garbled text (UTF-8 encoding issue)
Description:
On Japanese Windows, audio device names (such as スピーカー, マイク) are shown as unreadable, garbled text in the FlexASIO GUI.
This is caused by incorrect handling of UTF-8 encoded strings from the PortAudio library.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Run FlexASIO GUI v0.35 on a Japanese Windows environment.
- Select an audio device with a Japanese name.
- The device name appears as mojibake (garbled text) in the UI.
Expected Behavior:
Japanese device names should be displayed correctly.
Environment:
- OS: Windows 11 Enterprise Build 26200.7171 (Japanese locale)
- FlexASIO GUI version: v0.35
- PortAudio library: version unknown (not found in DLL)
Additional Notes:
This issue affects all device names containing non-ASCII characters.
