Summary
It would be very useful to have built-in support for automatically updating a Content Lucene Index when content changes, similar to how product indexes can be tied to a shop and kept in sync automatically.
Today, ecommerce indexing has a smoother setup for this. For content, there does not seem to be an equivalent built-in configuration, which means keeping content indexes up to date may require a scheduled task, custom code or manual rebuilds.
Implementation example
A configuration in Website settings where administrators can:
- Select which Content Lucene Index is associated with the website
- Select which builder should run when content changes
- Bonus: Enable automatic execution when a page or paragraph is created, updated, moved, or deleted
Additional request
Please also consider adding an Update builder option for Content indexes for quicker builds, similar to what already exists for product indexes.
