Since we did not receive any feedback yet, we were wondering if that project is still maintained and how other users of that library are dealing with the lack of maintenance at the moment.
We are actively looking into moving to confluent-kafka-python, although we like the API of kafka-python a lot more especially for error handling and reconnect functionality.
