Would be nice to update to append_before_action in jammit/controller.rb:96 to remove the notice in Rails 5 and be usable in 5.1.

I did this as a workaround in my initializers:

ActionController::Base.class_eval do
  class << self
    alias_method :append_before_filter, :append_before_action
  end
end

Until we move our project to Webpack.
