I'm a big fan of the Everforest Dark color scheme, and I was able to get it in mycli. Under the hood, mycli uses Pygments for highlighting, and the pygments-styles package includes extra styles for Pygments, including everforest-dark. Here's how I set it up.
Prerequisites
~/.myclircfile.Installation
In later versions of Python, it's recommended to install packages in a venv:
Next, activate the venv and install mycli and pygments-styles:
Next, deactivate the venv and update the style used in
~/.myclirc:Despite being installed in a venv, mycli still reads from the configuration file in your home folder.
Launch mycli:
Optional
Set up an alias in your
.bashrcor.zshrcto make launching mycli easier:(It would probably be best to use a less relative path)
P.S. This the way I did it, but may not be the best way to do it. I'm open to suggestions.
