DataJoint 0.14.7 — Final Maintenance Release

We are preparing v0.14.7, the final maintenance release for the 0.14.x branch.

What's Included

• Bug fix: make_kwargs now correctly passed to make_fetch in the tripartite (generator) pattern (#1350, PR #1360)

End-of-Life Notice

The 0.14.x branch will be end-of-life after this release.

• No further 0.14.x releases are planned
• There will be no v0.15 — the next major version is v2.0
• Security fixes only will be considered on a case-by-case basis

Migration to v2.0

All future development is focused on the v2.x release line, which includes significant improvements:

• Object-Augmented Schema (OAS) — unified transactional control over relational tuples and object storage
• Extensible codec-based type system — pluggable serialization with lazy loading
• Improved job coordination — per-table job tables with tripartite computation pattern
• PostgreSQL support (coming in v2.1)

We encourage all users on 0.14.x to plan their migration to v2.0.

Timeline

Release 0.14.7 will be published once PR #1360 is merged and tested.
