[Research] Provide dApps With Mutation's # Of Steps & Statuses

It could be great to provide dApps with the total number of steps, all available steps (each with a status like completed, skipped, failed, ...) and the current step index. Can you think about this a little? It may be too prescriptive and not all mutations may require it. If we do something like this, I wonder how mutation developers could document what capabilities different mutations provide...
