Describe the bug
The instructions in the contribution page omit the need to actually set up a GitHub account and the need to do the config --global commands to set user name and email.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Following the instructions only works if you already have GitHub account and pushing errors if the user does not know to log in early in the process.
Expected behavior
I had an account but noted to problem for someone who didn't and tried to follow the step by step.
