Hi,

Is the timescaledb-ha image catalog option officially supported by CNPG as the recommended approach for using timescale?

The reason I ask is because it is not mentioned in the official docs and it is not mentioned in the README of the cluster chart. If not, is it recommended to use the cloudnativepg image as a base and add the timescale db extension in?

It's not mentioned in the official documentation or the cluster chart README, and the only officially maintained images are those published by the CloudNativePG community (like ghcr.io/cloudnative-pg/postgresql and PostGIS) source.

While some users have managed to use the timescaledb-ha image with CNPG via the ImageCatalog feature, this is considered a workaround and not an officially documented or supported path. There are known issues with image tag compliance and operational errors when using timescaledb-ha images in this way source.

The recommended approach is to build your own custom image based on the official CloudNativePG image and install the TimescaleDB extension yourself.
